We had a lot of different choices in the beginning, as far as real estate companies. When you become licensed, they are practically breaking down your door. Like when an agent does farming in a particular area you get a whole bunch of their mailers, door hangers, and even phone calls from them attempting to obtain your business. We also get bombarded by real estate companies when we pass the state exam.We worked for our fair share of companies wanting what was best for our clients and us. Some of the companies had great training programs, some of them took less of our commissions but with that gave us less in the area of assistance and training too. After a few years in the business we were actively looking for an office that fit us. A no-nonsense approach to the securing of real property. A company that would stand beside us side by side and hand in hand to make us the best and most professional realtors that we are capable of being. A company with agents that have ethics similar to our own. And most importantly a company that holds "you" the client in extremely high regard. Enter RE/MAX. This was the ticket, it was a place that was absolutely professional, and extremely well thought out. There was planning of this great company that is paralleled by no other. The leaders in the industry were all housed in the shadow of the great red, white and blue balloon. This was it, we had arrived. This organization was big enough to give us and our clients the power of unlimited protection, but small enough to know and care about even our smallest concerns. What I appreciate even more than the above statement about protection and them caring about our concerns is their policy about "discount" advertising. There are a lot of companies in the market that advertise about "pay lower commissions", "money back at closing", "TV when signing", "Free search for homes in a Limo", "all you can eat buffet after seeing 5 homes (ok, I haven't seen the last one, but it is kind of funny)." Here is the deal. RE/MAX knows it agents are independent sales people, they work on their own with a huge amount of latitude. They also know that they can line up their agents side by side with others in the industry and RE/MAX agents will always stand out. Having said that, RE/MAX also knows that when you choose an agent price is no object when you are getting a well seasoned, honest, and disciplined agent. Furthermore, I kind of appreciate their idea of not wanting to make "real-estate" appear cheap. |

We had our start in the business when we were purchasing our first "Special Program" home for Police Officers. Little did we know that "Special" was going to be our catalyist to becoming Realtors. Realtors that would have a different approach to our clients needs and desires. First off, it was almost impossible to speak with our agent after we opened escrow. In addition, this was about the time when a local builder was breaking ground on a massive development of new housing. We learned from our past experience, we want to be able to contact those we work with within moments. We answer our voice mail's, telephone calls, and e-mail messages promptly. We also want clients for life. We discovered the reason that our agent did not want to show us those "new" homes is that they did not cooperate with agents in giving them a commission when bringing the buyer. Secondly, there were things that we should have disclosed to us about the contracts we were signing. The agent did not know the contracts line by line. Nor was the agent able to answer all of our questions regarding different parts of the contract. The aggogance that was displayed when I started to read the contract, the contract that would bear my signature, the agent told me that everything was fine and just to sign, that was just terrible. By these two examples of how we were treated made us come up with a concept that was not being produced in the Real Estate Industry. Paris911 was born, our concept was simple, treat our clients as friends and family. Treat those that choose us with the respect that they diserve and honor their decision. Never to rush anyone when it comes to decisions being made in regard to Real Estate. Always watch out, for our clients, during each part of the transaction. Watch the fees being charged by all those involved, escrow, title, lender, home inspection, termite inspection, and all the others. Sitting down with the client during the signing of escrow and lender paperwork. Making sure the numbers match and there are no hidden fee's invloved.
